Information Technology and Science is littered with
jargon and when it comes to Encryption Technology
or Cryptography or Cryptology (there’s three pieces of
jargon for a start) it can be quite obscure.
In order to help those of you new to encryption to
understand a little more, here is a short document
outlining some of the main terminology which we use.
They are not listed in alphabetic order, more a
sequence on how the approach to encryption
