Dr Bill Hawthorne acts in a Consultancy capacity to
Hawthorne Davies Ltd
Bill Hawthorne is a highly experienced cryptologist who presented his first
paper on encryption in 1986 on the concept of the 'infinitely scalable
cipher' to the Communications Electronic Security Group of GCHQ. In the
past, he has had encryption algorithms adopted by the International
Telecommunications Union (ITU). Bill now acts in an advisory role to the
company.

Who is Hawthorne Davies?
The company was formed by Dr Bill Hawthorne
and Jason Davies as a result of their paths
crossing in 2006 when they realised that their
mind sets in relation to encryption technology
were extremely complementary.
The combination of Dr Hawthorne's experience
and unique understanding of encryption logic
and Jason Davies' ability to produce viable
commercial products from that logic was the
basis of the company being formed.
